Svelte Rusk Elementary teacher Myrna Chun-Hoon wheels in the cattywampus TV cart, so students can learn the details of Walter Schirra’s orbital flight during the Mercury-Atlas 8 mission.
It’s apparently an Anglicized version of an Irish name. I looked it up and there was a list of maybe 50-60 famous “Myrnas” and Ms. Loy was the only one I recognized.

I don’t recall a TV cart at PS 51. If we did have one we did not watch any astronauts.

Is anyone named Myrna anymore? One of the great old time names. Also, +1 for “cattywampus.”

(bowing humbly) thank you for appreciating me bringing it back, which will never be said for Myrna (which always brings to mind Loy for me)
