  1. Any idea why it was called a Bride’s House? I am wondering if it meant it was a starter home sort of idea and thus associated with newlyweds? In which case, the first way I would exercise my freedom to live as I pleased would to not be having so many visitors (who I assume are parents of the newlyweds) visiting. I may not even have told them my new address.

    1. I was wondering that, too. Newlyweds need time to themselves. Then I read “See why House Beautiful’s Guide for the Bride selected it above all others as the ideal Bride’s House of 1956.” So I guess you pick your house before you move in, and then you have a home to move into together. A starter house, as you say.
