Three Oklahoma A&M College students return to campus in the fall of 1947. Big Hoss here seems to be taking it in stride.
On the night of the Supermoon, out for a walk in the balmy Kansas air, we spotted a man walking his two dogs. The children ran to him, declaring him Bullseye, the Target mascot. The owner then alleged that Bullseye was indeed their cousin. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps. To the adults, however, we did not see Bullseye. We saw Spuds McKenzie, Budweiser mascot from the 1980s. What do you see?
Finally! Five days left of July, and our fig tree finally decided–after two months of harboring little green pods–to turn them purple and heavy with sweetness. So pluck them I did and off they went into a bowl in the kitchen. It’s been 100 degrees here every day this week, and thick with humidity, so you can imagine what a nice shade tree this provides for two lethargic dogs. And the bonus is–I got to the figs before the ants did!
P.S. If you need more figs, check out Hello, Fig and his neat art.
