Yep in my hair until I reached the age of 13 then I switched to something different. Probably Brylcream or some other such nonsense. Oh and Vaseline hair tonic was not like the jelly. It was more like a light frangrant oil.
The faulty meter of that limerick makes me judder. And I hope Vaseline tonic is different from Vaseline as the thought of hair slimed up with petroleum jelly adds judders to my judder.

I am similarly juddering at that thought. It wouldn’t exactly rinse right out.

That was a lousy limerick. As for the product, one would need more hait tp to give it a fair trial.
