Yearbook photographers may never receive any accolades (if they even get a mention in the yearbook at all), but boy howdy, have they snapped some fabulous images of day-to-day life.
Boy howdy you are so right. I think Year Books are great collections of random pictures. Most of their shots are un posed and spontaneous. Toss in a sepia shot or two and Bob’s your uncle you have a winner.
Sure looks as if they had already lit up in the Quonset Hut class, yes, Kerbey? I think it might be barracks. And the guy in the middle sure looks like Joe DiMaggio sent over to the service. But it must be a yearbook because it’s part of our collection. Say it ain’t so, Joe.

That’s about the same color my fingers were back when I was a smoker.

Nothing says class like a class in a Quonset Hut. No doubt reading up on Yellow Journalism.

Nah, not Joltin’ Joe here. Wonder if he even went to college?

I think Joltin’ Joe was so good in baseball he went right to the diamonds, Kerbey. That’s usually how it went in those days.

Why isn’t there a Quonset Hut restaurant? They’d be easy to spot.

I saw one up in the U.P. of Michigan a couple years ago– pretty sturdy old things…
