Ready For Winter

Redskin49-013

Another triple digit day, week, and month here in the Lone Star State with zero precipitation and not a chance of rain as far as the eye can see. I can’t wait until the temps drop down to 95 and we ladies can wear just one brassiere per day. You try walking a dog/doing dishes/trimming hedges at 8am and see if your bra doesn’t wind up ready to wring out by 9am. October can’t get here too fast!

  1. It rarely hits 100 in the Hoosier state, but 90 degrees and 80 percent humidity is all too common. I like fall. Turning leaves and all the stuff. I think my trimming would have to wait when it’s that hot.

    1. I’m sorry. It’s not like we’re laboring in coal mines. It’s just that when it’s 102, just going to water the fig tree can make one “dewey.” And I’m sure men don’t enjoy a dewey undergarment that leads to chafing. That’s why it’s good to have at least 20 nice bras.

      1. my dad and I watch this movie each Christmas season, Kerbey! Started doing it when I was pregnant with Clare, so 13 years ago. We once saw it at an old-school theater complete with Wurlitzer organ that rose up to stage level, then went back down again when the movie started and we also saw it performed live at a local theater. Totally into this movie and of course you like it, too 🙂 Nothing better than a drag rendition of Sisters, Sisters.

  2. I’m glad to see they had legs back in the day, Kerbey, and a photographer with the sense to tell them to put on some real shorts. As for your caption and the bra thing … sorry ’bout that, my friend. Sounds like hell. Seriously.
