Lack of sleep is doing a number on me, so I have no clever comments about this picture from Galveston 1967. I just wanted to share. From the Wurlitzer jukebox to the formica, what a great glimpse into history. But do those ladies even look 21?

  1. wish that one was in color–would love to see the shades in those plaids. Pretty ladies. Too tired for clever comments isn’t good, Kerbey. Sorry to hear. Though you pulled it together enough to come up with a clever post title.

  2. Little Willie, wrestling, a juke joint and Schlitz beer. That is all the clever you need. I hope you get some sleep. I’ll count some sheep for you.

  3. Great pic Kerbey! Sorry about the sleeplessness. That’s miserable. Sometimes a shot of tequila does the trick for me. I call it a Mexican flu shot. 😉

    1. Believe me, I’ve tried all kinds of liquor/potions. I wish a Mexican flu shot worked! Probably better than a real flu shot at keeping the flu at bay…

      1. I’m so sorry. I know exactly what you mean, I struggled with sleep deprivation for a 2 year stretch of time. It effects everything. Take good care.

  4. That photo makes me want to dance with all the rhythm I can muster, Kerbey. I betcha the music at these plaid parties was bluesy, soulful and all-around hot stuff. The picture belongs in the blues museum, for cripes sake.

Now you must get some rest, sleepless friend. Sandra’s medicine sounds pretty good to me.
