Oh, ladies, you have not represented well. Not a blessed one of you.

And especially not this girl.
Glasses and braces are the least of this pack’s worries. I feel a sudden urge to chew Fruit Stripes gum.
Mind you, all these kids were in the SAME 9th grade class (back when 9th grade was in junior high). They had to pass each other in the halls, taking in all the beauty and attractiveness going on.
Next, we have two clearly wasted, polka-dotted, teased ladies (whose hair does not fit in frame), bookending a less-hussier girl, who probably skipped the dances.
In the next trio of girls, Cindy Nolen is the bowheaded gal having the time of her life.
Perhaps she was inspired by yesterday’s birthday girl?

Ah, Doris Day.

That HAIR! Doris does it so much better. The polka dot ladies are practically twins. Were they horrified that they wore the same shirt on the same day or was it planned?

Maybe they showed up in improper garb from the night before, and the school kept back-up shirts in a closet–like how the cafeteria gives PB&Js to kids who forgot their lunches.

That’s it, Kerbey. You’ve cracked the case! Backup shirts.

I’m pretty sure they held a “Dots for Dames” fundraiser during the holidays, to replenish supplies.

Check out Sarge over there on the far right of the second picture. You say he was in 9th grade at the time?! He looks like he already has two ex-wives and a drinking problem.

I thought that as well. He’s hiding a flask in his dungarees. His eyes are like, “I am so tired of this crap. Take the picture already and let me deal with the damn alimony.”

Oh no these guys are in my age group. I do think some of the girls are sort of cute. I wonder if the two bouffant babes in matching shirts were in a “social club”? They were pretty popular in the 60’s. Doris tried to give you a virus? Incredible.

Right? I tried twice to get out and it kept looping me around.
