  1. This is a very obscure ad Kerby. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what it refered to so I looked it up and lo and behold there is a whole piece of history that escaped me. The little calf would be Beulah. This would be an ad for the 1940 version of Little men with Elsie the Borden cow as Buttercup in the movie. This was promoted heavily because Elsie was famous and would later go onto sell war bonds/ Apparently Elsie was one of the most recognized marketing tools in history. Thanks for the thoght provoking pic. I’m a better informed citizen now – Moo!
