One Direction Changes Direction

      1. Never been to Mexico, to a drunken way, or in the ’80s, Kerbey? Just joshing. I think you’ve had one margarita, one year in the 80s, and one trip south of Austin. 🙂 Yes, that is a face full of character, woman with a way with words!

      2. (I was just quoting James Taylor…from his Mexico song). Living in Texas, we know better than to go to Mexico these days. Someone gets murdered at the border in El Paso/Juarez daily. But I did go to Cozumel in ’99 for a very Will & Grace time with my then best friend. Does that count?

      3. I totally struck out on the JT lyric quote. Bad former music writer, suffering a senior moment in the a.m. Wise to keep away from murderous avenues, Kerbey. And Will & Grace adventures are everlasting, sure.

  1. Zayn Malik has himself a funny name! Pardon my cynicism, but spoken like a young man who is just learning how to fly. Let’s ask him how things are going in a decade or so when he’s married with kids and no longer famous. How easy will it be to turn those pages, then, Zayn?

OK, scratch that. I’m happy for Zayn and his thrill of discovery, really I am.

Cracking me up that the middle guy has the booze necklace. Wouldn’t have figured it out (thought maybe it was a camera?) without Maxwell’s keen eye. Fraternity Halloween party?

    1. It is hard to digest the keen observations of a 21 yr old boy/man, but we all have to gather our insight gradually. He doesn’t know that reading that book will get harder as the years go by. Honestly, I didn’t know any of OD’s names but Harry, and yes, it is a neat name. BTW, I watched Chopped on Food Network last night and there was a guy named Malik and he was so defensive and full of himself and when the judges gave him helpful suggestions (since it is their job to judge), he told them they were wrong and his dish was perfect. So they chopped him–and told him the ingredient he needs most is humility. Boo-yah! I know that was more info than you asked for.

  2. So much in such a small space. The first guy on the left. Is that beard or dirt. For some reason the tall guy reminds me of Clint Eastwood. That sure does look like a whiskey bottle around that one guys neck. Do you think that after he empties it he uses it to make “music” to accompany the hobo with the guitar?
