No, these women aren’t sick; they’re aspiring “counter girls.” You know, the ones at department stores, trying to sell you overpriced cosmetics. These ladies are just a few of the 2,500 women that took Helena Rubinstein’s 1941 one-week “epidermal consultant” training course. Here, they are learning the art of dabbing a powder puff.
Interesting. I have not been in a department store in years so do they still have “counter girls”?

I don’t know what the term is now. I can’t afford it, so I breeze on by. I’d rather have cheap make-up and a nice meal LOL.

This kind of reminds me of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel on Netflix haha.

I only saw the first episode, so (like my blog) I don’t get it. But I can understand the period reference… And I know it scored big at the awards shows.

I would sniff rather snobbily, but snobbily isn’t a word, I don’t think.
