Love old road maps. And I always had a soft spot for Texaco. Both are pretty much history now. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
And Bruce Springsteen sings about Texaco road maps in his song “Open All Night,” Kerbey. You have a great example here. 🙂 LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
I’m old enough to remember the Texaco guys with their bow ties, hats, and the starred shirts! LikeLiked by 2 people Reply
I love the Texaco gas station and used to take advantage of free maps and hung them up in my kids rooms. Cool post, Kerbey! LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
You can trust you car to the man who wears the star. I love old road maps. At one time you could get them for free at a gas station. You also could get your oil and water checked. My how things have changed. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
How could 4 guys swarm your car,add gas, check oil, water, air and clean your windows and charge only 20 cents per gallon. Magic? LikeLiked by 1 person

I’m trying to fathom how they could just be free.

Uh-oh, it’s magic. Yes, indeed. And then did you tip them or just drive away?
