Alright Alright Alright

I knew Matthew McConaughey had attended the University of Texas, but I didn’t realize he was on the 1971 Debate Team.

(Just in case you didn’t catch Daze and Confused…)

  1. due to my status as a “fresh young blossom,” I can not pinpoint Mr. M. Second from right top row? Even some of the boys look like girls. They appear to be a winningest team.

      1. Thanks, K. I DID see Dazed and Confused. Wasn’t sure what all the hype was for as it didn’t strike me as that great of a movie. Did you like? But definitely fun to see MM et al in their earlier years. He’s aged extremely well, wouldn’t you say?

      2. No, I thought it was totally lame. Didn’t enjoy it all. Saying MM has aged well is like saying, “Would you like some money? Can I bring you a cocktail? How about a bouquet of flowers? A sample of pancetta?” Yes, yes, yes!

  2. Ah you’re pulling our legs. That isn’t really MM is it? I never saw Dazed and Confused. Didn’t he play the the lawyer in “Time to die”? The movie made on the Griesham novel. Good book, good movie, good acting job. At the risk of being insensitive and snarky they weren’t a group of lookers, were they. Personally I like Dr # 11 Matt Smith better than 10. Make my cocktail a Manhattan-up, please.

    1. No, he would have only been a toddler that year. He played a smarmy guy in his 20s, dating high school girls. Yes, he was the lawyer also. No, no lookers. You know way more about Who than I do!
