I Don't Get It 
Love the Hoss Cartwright hat on the guy under the cold beer sign. I’m guessing the lady in the last photo was no lady.

All it said was she was a “camp follower,” so that’s pretty vague… And as far as Hoss, my son used to say, “That’s a big, big man, Mama.”

Great pics, tires are the best seats. “Camp Follower” means different things per the era referred to. WWII a follower was a wife or girlfriend trailing her man from camp to camp so they didn’t have to be apart. In the US Civil War, camp follower was um… slightly different. In case you were interested! 🙂

Great pictures and great hats. I must say the “camp follower” is dressed more modestly than some I have seen. Must be because it’s the South; where everything is more proper.

And her manners have caused her to stand in the doorway to air the place out, so that is also helpful.

I feel like each of these images could be the writing prompt for a short story, they are so chock full of character and narrative possibility.

Yes! Some research would be required to nail that era but they could definitely prompt some intriguing characters during those times.
