Gritty would be a good descriptor for this picture. As well as dark,dirty and forlorn. Wow what a depressing shot. All of that aside though I can’t help but think of all of the work being done by all of the people living there. All of the lives affected by the mills operating there. All the steel produced there. It reminds me of Gary Indiana in the 60’s. A once great city that is no more.
