Interesting spotlight on the editorship of this magazine, Kerbey, and the image it wished to project upon the teens of America at this point in history. What a snapshot this is.
That is just precious. What young people were their target? Tony and Janet weren’t exactly teens. Kinsey wrote his stuff at IU. Have you googled this magazine yet?
Nice post!

Googling shed no light on the Jitterbug Diet for me. That twinkie-like confection is certainly not allowed on it.

Maybe you just dance the jitterbug and drink coffee?

I own the magazine. That’s the cover. It’s like a compact Archie size. There are pictures of clothes, cats, and how not to be a wallflower inside.

I Goggled it and all I could find was copies of 1955 and 1957 for sale on Amazon and E bay. So was Kinsey right about teenagers?

I am not surprised that Jitterbug Diets are dangerous. I find most diets based on sects are dangerous.

That was supposed to say “insects”. Spilling that beer on my keyboard has had some unfortunate effects.
