You never count your money when you’re sittin’ at the table. There’ll be time enough for countin’ when the dealin’s done. I am not a Kenny Rogers fan (for much the same reason Tom Selleck makes me shudder–too much hair), but I heart this song. It’s brilliant and I memorized it when I was 10, sorry soul that I was.
But the big question is, as always, what are they drinking? Doesn’t look like beer.

They’re probably playing pinochle. In the old days that’s what they always played. I don’t think people even know how to play pinochle anymore.
