I found this at an antique store in a nearby town a few days ago. No information on the back. Looks like late 20s, early 30s by the bobbed hair. My best guess is the man in the middle is the grandfather of Mr. Paul Reubens.

See? Pee Wee Herman likes holding puppies, too.

Sory, I meant to say Mr. Paul Rubenfeld.

You know I always have to bring it back to yearbooks.

I love old pictures. You found a treasure in this one. Boy Pee Wee sure has aged.

Like us all. I would have bought more, but a dollar a pop really runs up the tab!

I sit and think: Laurence Fishburne was once Cowboy Curtis. My mind is blown. For being 61, Paul looks a lot better than his contemporaries.

I was thinking about Cowboy Curtis only a month or so ago; such an odd progression of his career. Recently we found a youtube clip of a Pee Wee Christmas show from the 80s. A Hispanic man was trying to teach Pee Wee how to say “Feliz Navidad” and all he could say was “Feliz Na-bee-blah” over and over. And C Curtis came by to say hi on that one. And so did Charo, come to think of it. And Grace Jones?

Grace Jones, now there’s a name I haven’t heard in a while…

THAT is awesome–what a find! Most talented, huh? I love his movie and am proud to have passed that love on to my girls. (though my oldest still gets freaked out by Large Marge, which I don’t get. It’s hilarious for goshsakes)
Also, I have a picture pinned to my wall
An image of you and of me and we’re laughing, we’re loving it all
Look at our life now, tattered and torn
We fuss and we fight and delight in the tears that we cry until dawn.

You sound so British when you sing! Certainly better than Large Marge, driving her rig. It DID spook me when she said, “Be sure and tell them, Large Marge sent you!” I love the cereal scene at the beginning. Why can’t that be me??

oh gosh, yes. From a foodie perspective, I especially enjoyed the efficiency of his kitchen set-up. But in the end, he didn’t eat much. It was all about brushing his teeth.
At least I was able to cover up my Minnesotan accent.

Old Paul should put his puppy in the bike basket of medium Paul and go take a piano lesson with Rubenfeld Paul, the one who displayed his talent the earliest, Kerbey. You have to watch out, Rubenfeld Paul because medium Paul eventually got arresting for displaying too much talent at a movie, not in a movie. Thanks, Kerbey, for putting these three prodigious Pauls together in one place.

That’s true, and medium Paul shouldn’t have been doing that in public, but isn’t that the POINT of those theatres? Isn’t that what they’re all there for, icky and all?

Don’t know, Kerbey. Never been.

I really didn’t grow up watching that much Pee Wee Herman and he always sort of frightened me but I have this sudden urge to perhaps imbibe a bit and pull up some of his old shows.

I try and keep my immune system just sickly enough to allow for periodic Netflix binges so I’ll have to get this in the queue 😉

That’s an uncanny resemblance. I don’t know how you find such complementary photos, like the person holding up a little dog. Pee Wee was great but sure got on the wrong track.
