I didn’t think anyone else would be fool enough to chance the overpriced mediocre food and touch-and-go service of Austin’s The Oasis on a blustery, 50 degree day, but then I remembered. Tourists. Tourists everywhere on a cold Spring Break.

No, silly! Just Lake Travis in Austin, Tx. But there is a dam. Every year is a drought, so it’s good to see blue water for a change.

Right? I did have an urge to push our waitress over the ledge and watch her tumble down the rocky crags and fall into the water and sink down down like Jack in “Titanic” but it didn’t play out that way. Oh, well. Maybe next time.
