Not Exactly Olympic Cliff Diving

In yet another NOPE photo, mentally unstable young people jump off a 64-foot waterwheel in Syria in 1954. Note the person climbing on the bottom of the wheel, as well as those against the bricks. To reiterate, nope.

Have you ever done anything so daring?

      1. If you cant jump without being assured a good footing then don’t jump at all, is my rule. With a good plant foot you should be able to get away from the rock and keep yourself straight up and down. It’s not for everyone, but it is an amazing feeling. I’ve done in the 55 to 75 range a few times. Fry’s leap in Maine, Jonestown RI. Never had the discomfort of missing my mark.

      2. I bet it was exhilarating, as long as the water is deep enough and you are assured life continues. You are braver than I am. I only skydived once, and that was with a person attached to my back. 🙂

  1. It may not be cliff diving but it is just as crazy. I have jumped from planes and towers with a rubber band attached to my ankle but at no time was I in a position to land in water. A broken neck is one thing but drowning? Hell no.
