I think Oliver was a little before your time, snapper of whippers. By the early 1980s he had given up music and selling real estate. Later on he worked in pharmaceuticals. Strange, because his two biggies “Good Morning Starshine” and “Jean” were very successful. But he lacked staying power. But he got into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame anyway.

Yes, he was before me but I sure do love that song. I’m good for him for getting into some sort of Hall of Fame at all.
