Aren’t the skirts longer that average for 35? They seem too long. Surely showing a little calf wouldn’t be that immodest. Look at the guys spanking one another, that sure isn’t permitted in polite society.
I’m always surprised by so much spanking in these old yearbooks. Maybe they were wearing skirts that were a few years old since it was The Depression? No idea.
Good point. Guys clothes don’t usually change that much. I think that was a universal form of rule enforcement in a frat. Or maybe grandpa was just a bit kinky.

There are some long, skinny ladies. That one in plaid looks like they dressed up one of the those worm guys from Men in Black.
