We always take off shoes before entering our house. But we are not Egyptian although sometimes i walk like one. ‘Course the AJF comes from a no-shoes culture so that makes sense.
I always wondered how you go about asking elderly people to take their shoes off? We just leave ours on, but it seems like it would really put out my 84 yr old Meemaw to have her try to bend down and take her shoes off. Then if you give someone a free pass, they’ll all want it.

Yeah the Pullman Loaf. Bread baked in a lidded loaf pan. Used to save space in compact Pullman kitchens.
