Wow, this was a new wsy of measuring statistics! This is my first time of seeing moving states and name labels. Popular names are now measured by states, Kerbey? 🙂
I don’t know how they got their information, but it was just too fun for me to see and not share. So many Davids and then so many Jacobs. I grew up with a ton of Mikes and Marks. What about you?
I married a Mike and a David, dated a Scott and a Mark recently. Brothers were all R’s- Richard and Randy. Yes, the trends for girls carried out among my friends that turned 60 this year, 3 Jenny’s, one Sandy and 2 Susan’s. 🙂
Maybe mark one up for diversity nowadays, Kerbey? Different folks settling into different regions of our country? I don’t know. Maybe somebody else gets it.
It’s like the old Tom Petty song: “It’s good to be king…” Your name was king for like EVER. You ruled the roost. There was never a King Kerbey. You could have people pronounce it Dah-veed, though.

Yes, Dizzy Lizzy. I had to pick a spot and focus and then start all over. I was surprised by all the Liams!

Yes, some parents do appear to fail to think it through much, Kerbey.

NOOOOOOO! Can I please stay? Or at least live long enough that my name is obscure enough to make it onto the Blog of Funny Names?!?

That’s true, but I would be glad to anoint a King Kerbey. That’s oddles of fun to say!
The weird thing is that the last time David was super popular was in 1966 in Texas! My parents were a bit late to the David party…
I don’t see a good reason to have people pronounce my name Dah-veed, except for funniness. So I think I’ll have to do it.
