When we pumped them full of hormones to grow them faster, right? “Most of the nearly nine billion chickens raised in the U.S. for their meat each year are selectively bred to grow so large, so fast that they can barely move or stand. With unnaturally large “white meat” breasts and bones that can’t support their obese and disproportionate bodies, many of these birds spend most of their lives lying down in their own waste with open sores and wounds that act as gateways to infection.” Yum! Thanks, America.
All I gotta say is if you are going to dress a chicken for snow don’t forget the boots.

I see that the chickens from the 40’s were more svelte than today’s chickens. When did we super-size our chickens?

I have stood in waist deep snow, but haven’t yet dressed a chicken. I’m thinking maybe a Batman costume…or maybe Robin.

I read that too fast and thought you wrote “I have stood in waist deep sorrow,” and was like, “Wow, Norm, you’re getting really deep today.”

I’ve done both. It’s Hell getting a chicken to make up the mind what to wear!

Ha ha! A bird brain is too small to make wardrobe decisions.

I think .42 cents a pound seems a bargain for a dressed chicken, but I wonder if that includes the stockings and heels.
