  1. In 1827 the US decided to build a military fort at Leavenworth. After seeing these guys pictured above just hanging aorund, they decided it was a good idea to build a prison, which they did in 1875. Personally I think the little guy in the small bowler hat in the center is rather classy looking. Ha!

    1. And now let me tell you about Canadian prisons. Wait, I know nothing. That’s hardly a brim at all, isn’t it? Barely keep the rain out of your face. Well, there will always be criminals, so I guess a jail was a bright idea.

  2. me and some guys from school, we had a band and we tried real hard, Jimmy quit and Jody got married, should’ve known we’d never get far. Oh when I look back now, that summer seemed to last forever, and if I had the choice, yeah I’d always wanna be there. Those were the best days of my life.

huh? What? You’re talking about a different summer of ’69? I should look at the picture? What picture? Ohhhhh…. Sorry–got so caught up in your catchy title 😉

    1. You are a regular Bryan with a Y. When that song came out, I was a regular rollerskater, and we had a much older teen friend named Jody (who did not get married) and he drove a black Camaro and parked it out front of the rink called…Hot Wheels. Yes, he was THAT guy.

  3. Tricky. You know what everyone thought with that title, don’t you. Well instead of a summer of love, rock and roll and chemicals we get a scene where all the guys sit very still and refuse to smile. That is a great pic,by the way. I love the furniture. That table cries out for stud poker and bottles of whiskey and rye.

    1. And now I am singing about whiskey and rye. Well, SOME people might think of that summer, but YOUNGER people would think of the song by Bryan Adams. And even younger ones would have no idea at all. You mind just naturally goes to chemicals and Woodstock. 😉
